Cast iron pans are versatile, indestructible and often passed down through families for generations as heirlooms. These days they can be found in the deepest hollows of Appalachia and the Michelin starred restaurants of Manhattan. Oakland's Edgevale set out to make a shirt the channeled the heritage, utilitarianism and simplicity of the humble cast iron skillet. The fabric is a rugged 8.5 oz cotton duck canvas that is brushed for softness but can withstand serious punishment. The shirt is constructed with double needle seams throughout with bar tack reinforcements on all major stress points. The fit is great for average/medium sized guys - no awkward boxiness or needlessly narrow cut here - slimmer and more flattering than most workwear.
